Georgia Sarianides is a trained, experienced chef and cookbook author who grew up on the Mediterranean Sea.  She came to the U.S. as a new bride, not knowing the language but bringing with her the tasty recipes of her native Mediterranean cuisine and a burning desire to share them with her adopted country.  Georgia and her husband, Peter, opened several restaurants serving her delicious food to American diners for over two decades.  As her reputation grew, she expanded her reach to include presenting a series of popular cooking classes, catering and, since 1998, hosting a popular, award-winning cable television show.

First telecast on the local cable network in Boston as ‘Cooking with Georgia”, the show expanded to include her very American daughter, Despina (”Dez”) who shares laughter and warmth with her mom as she brings viewers tips on food, cooking, health and beauty.  “Cooking with Georgia & Dez” has seen dramatic growth over the last five years and is now spreading around the country like wildfire with over 19 million viewers spread across 26 cable markets in the United States.
